Norfolk Assessment Pathway
“A curriculum by teachers, for teachers.”
Do you struggle to demonstrate progress for your SEND pupils in your mainstream setting? The NAP is a specialist curriculum developed by Norfolk’s SEN Trust of schools and now in use in more than 40 schools across the county, allowing those smaller steps of progress that traditional a curriculum doesn’t always demonstrate. The NAP is a constantly evolving product, adapting to meet the latest educational changes, and meet the needs of our partner schools. Membership of the NAP allows regular CPD for your staff, cross-school moderation, and a chance to influence the direction and content of the curriculum.
Chris has a wide range of skills acquired from a range of settings, including Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), Mainstream, and SEN schools. He has led projects involving Boys’ engagement, Student reward programmes, Curriculum design and development, and Staff development days. With recent experience of delivering School to School (S2S) support in Mainstream settings, he can work with schools to help get students with a range of needs fully engaged and included in learning.
A Norfolk Steps tutor, Chris has a background in Behaviour support, and has recent experience of leading on Behaviour in a Specialist setting. Chair of the Special Schools Deputies Group, he is also used to leading other professionals, and as Project Lead on the Norfolk Assessment Pathway (NAP) he is a regular visitor to mainstream settings, delivering training on areas of curriculum support and moderation.
